Terms of Service – CentralRead

1. Purpose

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of CentralRead (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Access to the Service

  • The Service is available online with a free plan and paid subscriptions.
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time.

3. Account Creation

  • You must create an account with a valid email address to use CentralRead.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable Use

  • Use the Service only for lawful, personal purposes.
  • Do not attempt to access other users’ data or interfere with the Service.
  • Do not upload or share unlawful content or content that infringes third-party rights.

5. User Content

  • You retain all rights to your Kindle files, highlights, notes, and other content you add.
  • By using CentralRead, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display your content solely for operating and improving the Service.
  • You are solely responsible for the content you import or create.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Some features are available only with a paid subscription ("Pro").
  • Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store card details on our servers.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or yearly) unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Refunds are not provided except where required by law.

7. Termination and Account Deletion

  • You may delete your account at any time by emailing feskpro@gmail.com.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.
  • Upon deletion, your data will be erased according to our Privacy Policy.

8. Liability

We strive to ensure the availability and security of the Service but do not warrant uninterrupted operation or error-free performance. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CentralRead shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of data.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and features, is owned exclusively by CentralRead. Any reproduction, distribution, or use not expressly authorized is prohibited.

10. Personal Data

The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email or within the app.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of France.
  • Exclusive jurisdiction: Judicial Court of Montpellier, France, unless otherwise required by law.
